Who is the Bible for?

1) The Bible is for rotten people.  If you don't know you are rotten, read the Bible and you will discover that you are and why you are.  If you know you are rotten, read the Bible.  It will tell you what to do about your rotten condition.

2) The Bible is for rebellious people.  If you don't really want to listen to anyone else because they don't have any authority over you or they don't have anything that is important to tell you, read the Bible.  God has authority over you and He has the most important things to tell you- things that pertain to practical living now and things that pertain to eternal living later.

3) The Bible is for real people.  If you are a real person and would want to read about other real people, real places, real events, that all have relevance to living a real life, the Bible is for you.  The Bible is real history about real people living in real places who come into relationship with a real God.

4) The Bible is for rational people. If you are someone who wants to know where you came from, how you got here, and what happens to you when you die, the Bible is for you.  It answers all the big questions about life truthfully and scientifically and spiritually and really.

5) The Bible is for restless people.  If you are living on the edge of your seat knowing that there is more out there than just this life, the Bible is for you.  It will answer your questions, give you peace, and take you to places you have never been but long to go. The Bible says that God has placed "eternity" in our hearts and if we seek Him we will find Him.

6) The Bible is for relational people.  If you are a person who wants deep personal relationships and struggle to find that with other people, the Bible is for you.  You can have a relationship with the Sovereign God of the Universe.  You can come to know His Son Jesus personally and through Him become a member of God's eternal family.

7) The Bible is for restful people.  If you are a person who loves God and already knows His Son as Lord and Savior you can find complete rest in the Bible. The Holy Spirit will teach you the Word of God so that you can become a complete and competent follower of Jesus Christ.  He will give you peace, and joy, and love like you never dreamed possible.

The belief that does not save is the belief that does not change the person who believes. Jesus said that if you believe in Him, you would be changed
