Romans 6:23 can be used to share the gospel by using a chasm to illustrate the division that is between us and God. With This simple verse and a table napkin you can demonstrate why we are separated from God and what God has done for us to provide a bridge across the chasm. Using the napkin or piece of paper drawn to elevated areas with a great chasm between God and Us, on the left-hand side of the paper this will represent us, and on the right-hand side of paper will be represented God. Under the us write wages ask the individual what they think wages are, they will probably say is something you earn something you work for or something that is required payment of. Under wages write sin asked them what they think sin is? they will probably tell you a list of their favorite taboos however sin is living their lives as it if God is irrelevant. the word is spelt S.I.N with great emphasis on the letter I.  under the word sin write death, what is death? death is the separation of the soul from the body . The wages for sending is death. But the text goes on to say the gift of eternal life is a gift from God. Explain to them the difference between wages and a gift from God, sin in comparison to God and death compared to eternal life. The bridge between the chasm is through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
